Canatu Oy is a Finnish deep-tech company that develops and manufactures advanced carbon nanotubes, along with related products and production equipment, for the semiconductor, automotive, and diagnostics industries. At the core of its manufacturing process lies the patented Dry Deposition™ technology, which enables the costefficient and scalable production of extremely pure, high-performance carbon nanotubes. Canatu selected Delfoi Planner as its production planning solution for its clear and visual user interface that met the company’s specific needs without the burden of a complex system landscape.
A need for a clear and integrable production planning solution
Canatu’s production control is based on batches of various sizes and processes combining in-house manufacturing and international subcontracting. The company uses Oracle NetSuite as its ERP system and sought a flexible and visual planning solution to complement it. The aim was to improve capacity management, enable digital planning, and ensure seamless integration with Oracle NetSuite.
“When the production management features in NetSuite didn’t meet our needs, we started looking for a dedicated solution. Delfoi Planner emerged as a strong candidate through several recommendations and our own testing. “Delfoi Planner user interface is clear, intuitive, and efficient. Deployment went smoothly, and within a couple of weeks I could see the system worked very well for us. Currently, five people actively use Delfoi Planner. Task acknowledgements are handled by supervisors rather than operators. Since our event volumes are low, manual acknowledgements are more efficient and error-free for us”, says Risto Lahtinen.
Integration with Oracle NetSuite – smooth collaboration and a functional outcome
The integration between Delfoi Planner and Oracle NetSuite was carried out in close cooperation between Canatu, the integration platform provider, and Delfoi’s expert team. Canatu’s internal system expertise combined with strong support from Delfoi ensured a successful result. The integration project included effective workshops, and any challenges that arose were resolved quickly and flexibly through collaboration.
A strong partnership – and room for further development
Canatu sees Delfoi as a reliable and straightforward partner whose support has been flexible and solution-oriented. While there are currently no expansion needs, there is potential for further development, for example in personnel resource planning. Delfoi Planner allows human resources to be allocated to tasks, resources, and projects based on skill sets and availability.
