Pioneering in production planning and development, Delfoi Oy is restructuring its business by spinning off its consulting services into a separate company, which will be sold to its current management. Going forward, consulting services will be offered by Delfoi Consulting Oy. As a result of this business transaction, Delfoi Oy will focus on software operations, particularly the development and internationalization of the successful Delfoi Planner production planning software. The deal will take effect on September 30, 2024.
In this business transaction, Delfoi Oy will sell its consulting business to the current management. The personnel involved in the consulting business will transfer to the new company as existing employees. Delfoi Consulting Oy will initially operate from Delfoi Oy’s premises in Leppävaara, Espoo, and will continue under the Delfoi Consulting brand for the time being. Customers will be able to continue working with familiar and trusted experts, ensuring business continuity.
“This business arrangement clarifies the roles and objectives of both businesses, enabling a sharper focus on the essentials from the perspectives of our customers, staff, and business management. The arrangement allows for more efficient use of resources and provides better conditions for growth and innovation,” says Raimo Puro, CEO of Delfoi Oy.
“The new ownership base by the old Delfoi Consulting Executives creates a strong commitment to the success of the new company and the further development of the business. The timing of the transaction is good, as both businesses have clear strategies, profitable operations and excellent prospects for sustainable growth. The most important thing for the consulting clients is that the same staff with the same skills and experience will continue to deliver high quality services and projects,” says Vesa Paju, CEO of Delfoi Consulting Oy.
Delfoi Oy will focus on the Delfoi Planner software business and internationalization
Focusing on the software business enables more efficient development of the Delfoi Planner solution and strengthens its market position both domestically and internationally. International growth in recent years has been based on long-term collaboration with Delfoi’s international partners such as Oracle NetSuite, SAP, and Microsoft. Going forward, more resources can be dedicated to partnerships with solution providers.
